Resident Assistant NEST DE HEMS
VACANCY VOLUNTARY STUDENT POSITION
Would you like to make a difference for students and develop yourself alongside your studies? For our student complexes Nest - De Hems 4, 6, 8 (117 residents), we are looking for enthusiastic Resident Assistants who want to help build a welcoming and strong community.
YOUR ROLE
As a Resident Assistant, you are a key point of contact within the building. You help ensure that residents feel welcome and that the complex is a pleasant place to live.
You organise social activities and welcome new students by helping them find their way. You act as a first point of contact for residents and refer them to the appropriate parties when necessary. You provide light technical assistance and act as a link between residents and building management. Together with your team, you help keep the building safe, clean, and livable. You keep residents and partners informed via email, WhatsApp, and brief meetings.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
You work in a team of two other Resident Assistants, coordinating tasks and responsibilities together. There is plenty of freedom to shape the role in a way that suits you and to take initiative. You can always rely on the support and guidance of the Veste Wonen team when needed.
Each week, you work one evening shift between 19:00 and 20:00. During this shift, you are present in the building and available for residents. You support any situations that arise and otherwise have the freedom to manage your own time. Once every six weeks, you are on weekend duty. During this shift, you are on call by phone and able to be on site within 15 minutes if required.
This role is flexible and easy to combine with your studies. You will start with one to two training sessions and a joint kickoff day.
