Am I allowed to sublet my room?

If you rent a non-furnished room, you are allowed to sublet your room for a max duration of six months.
Subletting
Subletting is allowed in unfurnished accommodations for a maximum period of 6 months. Please note: if you’re a subtenant, you can’t register with the municipality, which means you can’t apply for a student grant.

Yes, please do. Please send an email to and hand us the following information: the name of your subletter, his/her email address and his/her phone number. This way we'll know who is living in the room and contact them if needed.
