Digital locking system

Veste Wonen is implementing a digital locking system on the campus. Are you a tenant or will you become one soon? As a tenant of Veste Wonen, you will soon be able to open your front door easily with your smartphone! The house key will be integrated into the Veste Wonen app. Or use the digital key tag.

The new locking system offers many advantages. If you lose your phone, have a dead battery, or get locked out, there are multiple ways to get inside. Access can be quickly revoked and reissued, without the cost of replacing the cylinder. You manage your digital key and spare keys yourself, including temporarily or long-term sharing a spare key with someone you trust. Assigning a key remotely to someone is ideal, right? Additionally, the locks are low-maintenance, have no battery, and there is a reliable support system when you need help.

Planning
The rollout of the locking system is being phased on campus. In the first phase of the project, we start with the new Nest buildings on the Boulevard and all furnished rooms for short-stayers. The planning for the next phases is still being determined. As a tenant, you will be informed well in advance about the replacement of the cylinder. As a (new) tenant, once the planning is known, you can see on this page when your (future) residential complex is scheduled. Extensive information about using the locking system will be provided to tenants through the manual of the digital locking system.

Download the Veste Wonen app
The Veste Wonen app is the tenant platform where you can find all information about living on the campus and renting from Veste Wonen. In addition to all the information and functionalities, the Veste Wonen app is also the carrier of the digital smartphone key. The app can be downloaded via the App and Play Store. Before your digital lock is installed, you will receive a registration code by email from the app developer Guestcompass. You can use this code to activate your key.

Locking system technology and additional information
The iLOQ S50 locking system uses NFC technology to open and close doors. The key is located in the NFC card of your phone or key tag, and communication between the phone and the lock is encrypted. This technology is similar to that used for bank payments. You open and close doors easily and safely!
