Annual rent adjustment

Every year on 1 July, the rent for your home is adjusted based on guidelines set by the Dutch government. For more information on why the rent is adjusted annually, watch the video.

Why is the rent adjusted?
The annual rent adjustment allows Veste Wonen to keep investing in maintenance, sustainability and new student housing. This helps ensure that our homes remain good quality and affordable for students. 

What can you expect?
The rent adjustment takes effect on 1 July 2026. You will receive notice at least two months in advance.

In 2026, the rent may increase by a maximum of 4.1%. This percentage is a legal limit set by the Dutch government. The increase applies to the basic rent only (service charges are not included). As a student tenant, your income does not affect the rent increase.
